Depends on your eye colour for the eyeshadow. A soft pink is really nice for lipstick, if you only apply a light amount. As for eyeshadow, a light grey, applied in a small amount, is VERY nice for any occasion, particularly if you have brown eyes, lighter skin, and don't wear mascara. I'm a boy, so you can trust me.

I'd say dark eyes and include hot pink on the lid of your eye too and around it with black eyeliner and black eyeshadow to make it stand out. Go for a light pink glossy lip-gloss (goes with everything) and the black bag and shoes would look great!
or you could go with nice natural brown eye shadow (for a simple look)
and it will suit with your eyes and brown hair dw.

I'd keep the lipstick light to medium pink not too dark or you would have a clown look to yourself and more shine at night and less in the daytime.
You could also use a fabric purse that is multicoloured no sparkles for day and sparkles for night... if the dress is solid color.
Shoes for daytime light to medium or darker for night with a added jewel for shine. Softer for day and little harder for night the daytime light and nighttime is so completely different you have to take it all into consideration when putting yourself together.

If you are going to be doing a dramatic eye, then you don't want the lips to be dramatic as well as both together would be overpowering. Smokey eye + nude lip never fails to make a great combination! That eyeshadow has like 50 different colors. I would go with a brown,dark green,or blue depending on your shade of green. If your eyes have little flecks,choose that color. It'll make your eyes really pop.

I would recommend that you line your eyes thinly with black eyeliner and using either light green or purple for your eyeshadow. Those two colors will really bring out your green eyes. As for lipgloss, stick with a clear or soft pink shade. I'd avoid lipstick, but if you were to use it, go for a neutral color that isn't too red or rosy.
To make your green eyes pop use a purple eyeshadow or liner, it will really make them standout, that's what I use for my green eyes. As for lipgloss, try to stick to more nude shades so your lips dont compete with your eyes to much.
Revlon makes a good nude gloss called ';toast to shine'; and it looks amazing with green eyes :)

I would experiment. Try going to your local department store and make appointments to have your make-up done at counters where you actually like what the employee has done with there make-up. Don't rush in to buying everything at the first counter. You may feel pressured to if you like the sales person, but try a few out.
These employees have been trained and have a good eye for color. Without seeing your exact shade of hair, and exact eye color and skin tone, it's hard to say.
I have green eyes, fair skin and have had very dark hair, and I love to put the emphisis on my eyes with shades of green, haze, and charcol. Don't play up your eyes and lips dramatic. Either eyes, or lips. I'd go for eyes.

I would recommend that you line your eyes thinly with black eyeliner and using either light green or purple for your eyeshadow. Those two colors will really bring out your green eyes. As for lipgloss, stick with a clear or soft pink shade. I'd avoid lipstick, but if you were to use it, go for a neutral color that isn't too red or rosy.
To make your green eyes pop use a purple eyeshadow or liner, it will really make them standout, that's what I use for my green eyes. As for lipgloss, try to stick to more nude shades so your lips dont compete with your eyes to much.

I would experiment. Try going to your local department store and make appointments to have your make-up done at counters where you actually like what the employee has done with there make-up. Don't rush in to buying everything at the first counter. You may feel pressured to if you like the sales person, but try a few out.
These employees have been trained and have a good eye for color. Without seeing your exact shade of hair, and exact eye color and skin tone, it's hard to say.

i would do a classy smokey eye and glossy nude lips. reds are hard to match, and require a bit of maintenance.
smokey eyes look great on everyone. the trick is finding just the right shades and practicing! here is my smokey eye...step by step and simple as can be... (feel free to substitute lighter shades for the ones i mention)
start with a clean canvas...concealer, foundation, and/or powder in place. apply a thin layer of shadow base or eye primer to the entire lid (urban decay primer potion, mary kay eye primer, merle norman automatic shadow base, or mac eye primer)
black or dark grey shadow in the shape of a sideways V on the corner of the eye, working into the crease (i use merle norman shadow in ebony and a palladio flat shadow brush)
lighter grey shimmer shadow over the lid, blending into the first darker shade (i use mac shadow in idol eyes and a mark contour brush)
silvery/champagne shimmer shadow under the brow bone and dotted on inner corners of eyes with full shadow brush (i use merle norman luminous shadow in sun beam and an essence of beauty shader brush)
black liner all the way across top lid, slightly thicker on outer edges, and 3/4 way across bottom (avon glimmersticks liner in blackest black)
sweep thin line of medium shimmer grey under lower lash line, below and slightly over black liner
curl lashes and add 2 coats of volumizing black mascara (maybelline volum' express turbo boost 7Xs mascara in black)

I'm a brunette with brown eyes and fair skin. Whenever I have one of those makeup demos done, they tell me to stick to the brownish-pink shades of lipstick. They tell me not to go too light. I'm more into shades for my skin (very fair) so I can't tell you exact names. Go into walmart or any store and swatch colours on your wrist, try to get one with a satin finish. I know maybelline colour riche are msotly satin finishes. Shy away from lusters and frosts (very sheer, and frosts don't look too good on women of colour) If you want a pink tint over to l/s get a pinky gloss any will do, if you want the natural look go for a bronzy lipgloss mac has a luster glass i think it's called beaux I love using it on dark skinned women when I do their makeup, it has just the right amount of shimmer. If you just want that nude colour get a clear gloss.

don't forget to fill in your lips with a lipliner for your lips to last longer. (:

I'm wearing a gold and black dress too! Freaky! Ok, I'm doing a smokey eye. Here's what i do to create my smokey eye.
Take some dark brown {or black} eyeliner and apply to top and bottom. smudge with Q-tip or brush if you have one... Then take some gray eyeshadow and apply to top lid. You can also put a little tiny bit under the eyeliner on the bottom too.. Apply some mascara.
If u don't want to look like your going to a funeral, {which you probably don't} then just use some nice gold eyeshadow to match your dress or some pink shimmer with mascara.
For lips, use some nude lipstick and put some clear lipgloss over it.... Or you can just use lip-gloss.

For lips, use some nude lipstick and put some clear lipgloss over it.... Or you can just use lip-gloss.

It's very fashion forward to do nude lips smokey eye. To get this look use concealer on your lips. Then use a pinky-nude matte lip balm or lipstick. To avoid looking like a corpse, you may want to use pinky but low key blush or use luminizer in the E3 formation. A bronze would also suffice.
You need balance. you play one or the either up (eyes or lips). smokey eye I would suggest a nude lip, or if you want color you mentioned pink. it can be a sheer natural pink. viva glam 2, sandy b, viva glam 5 are some of my fav. these are mac products and cost $14 each. I'm almost 40 and if I listened to the so-called ';experts'; I wouldn't wear shimmer gloss or pink lipstick, but it works for me. Go with what suits you.

My aunt and I both have red hair hers a little darker and more auburn mine a little blonder and it looked really nice on both of us. I cant say for sure about it's plumping properties as i only tried it once but the color was awesome.

Coral suits any type of skin tone as it is universal colour, whereas you couldn't put browns on a lighter skinned person, and very light pinks on a darker skinned person.
There is correlation (Cora-ation) ;] Hehe, in the shades of coral. For example, a lighter colour for a lighter skinned person, etc. :]
So, just go from there and it should be fine!

Avoid shimmer in your gloss (there isn't any shimmer in the one I suggested, just beautiful shine) because that will take away from the effect of the eyeshadow, and leave you looking too 'made up'. I am a redhead also. I have always worn plain gloss, beiges, including rosy colored beiges, neutral colors, mostly. Occasionally a brownish-burgundy. A lot depends on the shade of red hair you have. Mine is almost a strawberry blonde but these colors seem to work best for me because, unlike other hair colors you have to consider what color shirt you are wearing too.
i'd say just a simple light color lipstick/gloss
I use a neutral color and it seems to balance things out
