I have brown coplexion,similar to Toni Braxton. What is a good ';nude'; lipstick/lipgloss color to buy?





It does not have to be MAC,it's ok if it's from Wal*Mart,CVS,Walgreens or so.


Please let me know the name/number and brand of the lipstick/lipgloss?

I'm more into shades for my skin (very fair) so I can't tell you exact names. Go into walmart or any store and swatch colours on your wrist, try to get one with a satin finish. I know maybelline colour riche are msotly satin finishes. Shy away from lusters and frosts (very sheer, and frosts don't look too good on women of colour) If you want a pink tint over to l/s get a pinky gloss any will do, if you want the natural look go for a bronzy lipgloss mac has a luster glass i think it's called beaux I love using it on dark skinned women when I do their makeup, it has just the right amount of shimmer. If you just want that nude colour get a clear gloss.

don't forget to fill in your lips with a lipliner for your lips to last longer. (:
well I'm not as dark as you are, But I'm pretty medium honey toned. i get darker in the summer and the nude colors i use are mostly shimmers. and i like to find the champagne shimmers the best. cause its not matte. its really pretty and not dual at all.





and you just put it on and blot it with a tissue or something and reapply another coat then blot Again. and over it i put a gold or a nudey gloss over it. and its a great finish after that. and the lip color goes with any kind of eyeshadow colors which is GREAT.





* sorry i completely forgot to even say where i buy mine from. lol.. i usually buy my champagne color lip sticks from Avon. and the gloss. there is a color by Loreal called Intensely Moisturizing Courageous Lip color. courageous is the name of the shade. but either of the two . and over it put L'oreal Colour Juice Sheer Juicy. pina colada. its thick and gives the perfect shiny effect.
I'm tan colored but i know you should stick to something sheer that lets your natural lip tone through. I like jordana in color lip tubes in peach sand it goes on so naturally and is pretty on all skin tones, but i love love love cover girl outlast lip stain markers in nude it gives your lips the perfect natural looking color then you can just add some nice clear gloss i like biotherm lip gloss cause it smells really nice and has a light reflecting formula that makes you lips look full and juicy
try using elfs mineral lipsticks for only five dollars i am the same color as you are and i use rosy raisin.and bare brown,,you can get it at eyeslipsface.com everthing is a dollar except for te mineral line which is only 3$-5$..i also use vivaglam6 from mac and vivaglam5 theses are aweome

for me i put on a nude lipstick from walmart, it stays on very good,


but two make it juss the right color, juss put on the nude first then find your favorite lipgloss and put it over(;
