Instead, since your dress is so vibrant, Use a light brown on your lids, and line your lashes lightly with black. For your lips, wear a light coral pink shade, with a blue base, instead of orange or red. The blue base doesn't off set other natural color pigments. Gloss up your lips, Primp your hair, and Your set!

Since you are playing up your eyes so much, keep everything else toned down. A sheer, shimmery pink lipstick or gloss should do the trick. Have fun!
Your make up should not match your clothing, it should match your face. I recommend that you figure out which famous person has the most similiar coloring as you do and then look for photos of them all glammed up. Google is great! Just see what different types / shades / colors of make up they wear and how you like it.





If you are intent on wearing the eye shadow to match the dress, keep the rest of your face low key. Find a lipliner pencil that matches your lips. Line then fill your lips with the liner. Then use a matching shade of long-wearing lipstick. Once the lipstick is set, put on a clear gloss. Now you don't have to worry about color kissing off on your date, your water glass, or anything else and touch ups can be done with only the gloss.

I agree with Heidi, a light or transparent coral color.
none, go for a clear gloss.
With a lime green dress and bright shadow, go for a high gloss but CLEAR. Don't overpower or make yourself look silly. Even something cheap and simple like Bonne Bell lip gloss would be perfect.. I have some in vanilla frosting flavor that gives the look you need.
Depending on your skin color and tone, a nice sheer peach would probably look very nice. Typical rule of thumb is, if you play your eyes up then play your lips down and vice versa to even out the look.

Well, first off you don't want to wear green eyeshadow if you dress is green. If your dress is lime green you need to use pinks on your face. Red (pink is a ';red'; color) and green are opposite each other on the color wheel which means they compliment each other. If you wear green eyeshadow, your eyes will not shine like they should on your prom night! :)

Try something neutral, like a light pink or peach. Choosing a bright, stand-outish color will only draw attention away from your dress and eyes.

You are NOT supposed to ever wear the same color eyeshadow as your clothing. I have one friend that does that and some of the colors aren't her shade at all. It looks so bad. Do pinks or reds. since they are opposite each other on the color wheel. Do a light sparkly pink eyeshadow and almost a nude lip maybe with a hint of pink in it. But Don't do green!

i think it would be best to go with pink but not to light or not to dark just enough to make you look perfect for the prom.just make sure you shine!lol also ask your bestfriends for advice they give you the best look but also make sure you like it
